The hook assembly, also known as the hook group, is the core component of the hoisting mechanism of a crane. It is assembled from various parts such as the hook, pulley, pulley shaft, clamp plate, crossbeam, thrust bearing, and anti-drop device. Together with the steel wire rope and drum, it facilitates the lifting and lowering of heavy objects.
II. Composition and Structure
Hook: used to bear and hang heavy objects, classified into single hook and double hook;
Pulley: used to wind steel wire ropes, forming a pulley block for saving effort and changing direction;
Clamping plate/side plate: used to fix the pulley and hook, providing overall reinforcement;
Thrust bearing: allows the hook to rotate freely in 360°, preventing the steel wire rope from twisting;
Anti-drop pawl (safety buckle): prevents the lifting device and steel wire rope from accidentally detaching.
III. Classification by tonnage: 5t, 10t, 16t, 20t, 32t, 50t, etc.; by hook type: single hook assembly, double hook assembly; by compatible equipment: crane hook assembly, gantry crane hook assembly, tower crane hook assembly, electric hoist hook assembly.
4. Features: Integrating load-bearing, labor-saving, guiding, rotating, and anti-drop functions, it boasts a compact structure, high load capacity, impact resistance, and flexible rotation, ensuring safe and stable operation. It is an essential accessory assembly for bridge cranes, gantry cranes, and overhead cranes.
5. Applicable Scenarios: Factory floors, industrial and mining plants, construction sites, bridges, and port warehouses, for lifting and hoisting operations of various heavy objects such as steel, equipment, and goods.
